New Orleans man sentenced to 22 years in prison for narcotics, firearm charges

COVINGTON — District Attorney J. Collin Sims reports that on July 13, 2026, Kevin L. Carr, 39, of New Orleans, Louisiana, pled guilty and was sentenced to 22 years in prison by the Honorable Judge Vincent J. Lobello.

Judge Lobello sentenced Carr to serve 20 years in prison on the narcotics and weapons charges, plus an additional 2 years to be served consecutively for the stolen firearm charge. Assistant District Attorney Shelby Stoop prosecuted the case.
