After a testy hearing last month, city officials approved a multi-million dollar tax increment agreement for a new development in the Granary District.
Members of the Salt Lake City Council, acting as the board of the city’s Community Reinvestment Agency, voted 6-1 on Tuesday to approve a tax increment reimbursement request for the Silo Park development. The roughly 8.2-acre project would add 740 housing units to the block between 500-600 South and 400-500 West.
In total, Silo Park will consist of numerous housing projects, dining options, commercial space and a hotel. The developers behind the project are Blaser Ventures and Lowe Property Group…
