Scott Porter, Founder and Owner, San Diablo Artisan Churros

Scott Porter is a serial entrepreneur, brand-experience architect, and unabashed “taco whisperer.” He is the founder and owner of San Diablo Artisan Churros, a gourmet churro company on a mission to fill lives with happiness—one churro at a time. Since 2016, San Diablo has served literally millions of churros at 9,000+ events and sold 35,000 churro-making kits worldwide. Most recently, Scott launched frozen Take & Bake churros and a freeze-dried, shelf-stable snackable Itty Bitty churros for retail grocers, restaurants, and foodservice. Across the nursing-home, luxury-airline, and gourmet-food industries, Scott’s framework for elevated, human-centered brand experience has driven measurable results: a turnaround from bankruptcy to $4.5M within a year in a market with 200 direct competitors, and an airline Net Promoter Score of 91 (industry average ~15), fueling loyalty, profitability, and operational excellence.

Before San Diablo, Scott was co-founder/CMO at Surf Air (taken public at a $1.42B valuation); executive director of two nursing homes and a home-health agency in Southern California; co-founder of the NGO Singular Humanitarian; and a management consultant with Gartner (formerly CEB), InsideOut Development, and General Assembly.
