CORVALLIS, Ore. – A new recycling center opened in the Corvallis area, offering residents a free place to drop off materials that can’t go in regular home or business recycling bins.
Recycle On held its grand opening today. The center is a partnership between Circular Action Alliance and Republic Services, part of a statewide push to expand recycling access across Oregon.
“A lot of the items that we accept here at the Recycle On Center, they confuse the recycling machinery,” said Alex Bertolucci with Circular Action Alliance Oregon. “So they’re either flat like paper and end up going to the wrong place like lids and package handles, and they get lost within the system.”…
