AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – A long-awaited redevelopment of the historic Hotel Aiken is moving forward, bringing new optimism for downtown while leaving some businesses preparing for a major transition.
City leaders say the project will restore one of Aiken’s most recognizable landmarks and build on other investments already underway downtown. At the same time, several businesses currently operating in and around the hotel property will need to relocate before construction begins.
