Mainstream program at Southwest Community Center faces uncertain future, amid furloughs

SYRACUSE, NY — Families who rely on the Mainstream Program at the Southwest Community Center said they are demanding answers after staff members say possible furloughs could impact services for children with developmental disabilities.

The Mainstream Program provides after-school activities, recreational opportunities, life skills training, and resources for children with developmental disabilities and their families.
