Fire extinguisher used to vandalize Inland Empire preschool, teen cited

A 17-year-old Inland Empire boy has been arrested after a fire extinguisher was used to vandalize a preschool in Rancho Cucamonga, authorities said Friday.

Deputies were called to Olive Tree Day School in the 7600 block of Archibald Avenue shortly before 8:30 a.m. on July 11 after receiving a report of vandalism, according to a news release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators learned that at least two suspects entered a classroom and discharged a fire extinguisher. The suppressant powder spread throughout two classrooms, the Sheriff’s Department said.
