After more than a decade of giving animals second chances, Paw Works announced it will close its adoption center at The Oaks mall.
The nonprofit animal rescue shared in a July 16 Instagram post that the incredibly difficult decision came down to finances.
“We want to express how grateful we’ve been for every ounce of support we’ve received over the last 12 years,” Director of Operations Brittany Vizcarra said in an interview. “The comments have been tearing our hearts apart in the best and worst ways, and we’re so grateful to have been able to make so many people’s homes whole with adopted pets.”…
