CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Court documents reveal investigators say the suspect in last week’s Manor Road homicide first denied being involved before later sending a text message saying, “I did the killing,” and trying to hide the victim’s body.
We first reported Friday that Chattanooga police arrested 37-year-old Nathaniel Lee Colvin and charged him with the death of a man found inside an apartment at 3929 Manor Road. He is charged with first-degree murder and felony murder.
According to an arrest affidavit, officers responded to the apartment around 3:32 p.m. Thursday after receiving a DOA call. Investigators initially treated the death as suspicious after the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office found what appeared to be brain matter beneath the victim and a possible injury to the back of the victim’s head…
