Bicyclist hit on I-5 in Marion County; OSP says another vehicle may have struck bike

SALEM, Ore. (KATU) — Oregon State Police are investigating a vehicle-versus-bicycle crash on Interstate 5 early Sunday morning.

Emergency personnel responded to the crash at 3:54 a.m. near milepost 255 in Marion County.

“The preliminary investigation indicated a white Subaru Outback was traveling northbound on I-5 when it struck a bicyclist,” OSP said. “The bicyclist was seriously injured and transported to an area hospital.”…
