A group that assists victims of sexual abuse is calling for more transparency from the Buffalo Diocese following the arrest of priest Jeffrey Nowak.
Road to Recovery is demanding that the diocese publicly release the Code of Canon Law 489 secret files associated with Nowak.
“The Diocese of Buffalo negligently supervised Fr. Nowak. Bishop Michael Fisher must immediately publicly release the Code of Canon Law #489 secret files, which probably contain documents of scandal about Fr. Nowak and the files of all accused priests in the Diocese. Since Fr. Nowak’s ordination in 2012, he has had four assignments in seven years,” Road to Recovery said in a press release…
