Several projects and programs in the Ozarks were a part of the $50.7 billion state budget Gov. Mike Kehoe signed on June 30.
Not all local earmarks were so lucky, especially as the state faces a projected shortfall in funds. The governor also issued 65 vetoes, totaling more than $30 million in general revenue, according to a news release from the governor’s office. Another 78 items were placed on his restricted list, totaling $441.3 million.
