MACHESNEY PARK — The family behind Salamone’s in Cherry Valley is expanding into Machesney Park with an additional restaurant location.
The family is under contract to purchase the former Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers at 9901 Orlando St., which is just south of West Lane Road in a busy commercial corridor. They plan to renovate the former fast food restaurant, remove the drive-thru and build a 2,500-square-foot addition to provide more sit-down space.
