CRIME STOPPERS: Warrant issued for woman accused of child endangerment

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The Greater Springfield Area Crime Stoppers is asking the public for help locating a woman charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Makayla Jade Bowles, 25, after she missed a court appearance.

According to court documents used to charge Bowles, the Greene County Children’s Division received a court order in 2022 to take custody of Bowles’ baby daughter, who was born with several severe health issues. The documents accuse Bowles of not providing adequate care for the girl, and show a scan at the Mercy Hospital emergency department discovered a fractured arm and fractures to both of her legs.

Description

Bowles is 5′2″ tall, weighs 130 pounds, has brown hair and blue eyes. She sometimes wears glasses. Bowles has numerous tattoos:

  • Right hand – SNAKE SQUIGGLE, DEAD EMOJI, ROSE
  • Right forearm – DRAGON, “TAURUS” TAURUS SYMBOL, FACE WITH GOGGLES
  • Left hand – CROWN, FADED FINGER DESIGN, PLANT RING, VINE, HEART, CROWN, LINE DESIGN
  • Left forearm – PLANT, VASE DESIGN, FLOWER DESIGN, LINE SQUIGGLES
  • Left ankle – ROSE
  • Right leg – SQUIGGLE DESIGN FADED

Bowles is believed to be in Greene County, but has ties to Neosho.
