NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — An area of US-27 in Nicholasville was impacted on Wednesday morning by heavy traffic after reports of a crash involving a passenger car and a trailer.
Around 11 a.m. on July 22, officials with the Nicholasville Police Department (NPD) told FOX 56 News that the crash happened near the Brannon Crossing shopping center.

Investigators said one person had been taken to the hospital from the scene of the crash with life-threatening injuries.
The roadway was closed for several hours. As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nicholasville Road has reopened.
