CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A major road closure is planned for Wednesday night into Thursday morning as Flatiron/Dragados, LLC prepares for a full closure of the northbound lanes of Interstate 37 as part of the Harbor Bridge Replacement Project. The northbound lanes will be closed from N. Mesquite Street to Staples Street.
Crews will begin rerouting traffic at 9 p.m. Wednesday, and the closure will last one night, with traffic resuming at 6 a.m. Thursday.
We’re told the closure is needed to shift traffic onto newly constructed mainlanes. Drivers leaving the Bayfront and Downtown areas should expect delays after 9 p.m. Wednesday…
