Saline Council passed a motion creating a historical district committee for the Davenport Curtiss house, which was recently purchased by the city, at the July 20 meeting. According to Mayor Brian Marl, establishing the property as a historical district has been a “priority” for Council since the acquisition.
“A big part of, for me, agreeing to the purchase of this property was to maintain that historic aspect of it, so I think that is really a key aspect of it, and so I’d love to see this move forward,” agreed council member Janet Dillon.
