LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A report released by the Council on Criminal Justice shows where crime rates are falling or increasing in large cities. Louisville is following similar patterns as other major cities in some categories like homicide rates.
This report analyzes 35 cities’ crime rates to compare trends. Overall, in these large major cities, the average homicide rate in the first half of this year was 18% lower than this same time in 2025.
