LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Nevada drivers are paying more at the pump as gas prices across the state continue to climb, according to AAA’s weekly fuel report.
The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Nevada rose 14 cents from last week to $4.69. Nationwide, the average increased 15 cents from last week to $4.09 per gallon.
“Rising crude oil prices are behind the spike at the pump,” said Aldo Vazquez, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group. “Volatility along the Strait of Hormuz and instability in the region have pushed oil prices into the $90 per barrel range and could continue driving up costs during the second half of the summer.”…
