HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (WSAV) — The city of Hardeeville has been recognized by the South Carolina Municipal Association for a downtown housing project.
When Hardeeville, one of the fastest-growing cities in the state, faced a severe housing shortage, the city formed an Attainable Housing Task Force.
Made up of real estate agents, builders and nonprofits, the group developed the Harvey Place Project. Now, ten affordable townhouses were located on Hardeeville’s main street and there is also easy access to groceries.
