Indian Trail homeowner asks town for action after years of flooding

INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. (WBTV) – A homeowner in Union County says repeated flooding is creeping closer to her house, leaving her worried that the next heavy rain could cause serious damage.

Linda House says water has steadily taken over her backyard in Indian Trail during storms over the past 15 years, with conditions worsening sharply in recent years.

Photos she shared with WBTV showed rising water levels — and a visible waterline on a shed — after a recent rain.
