Take photos of trails
AKRON – Trailhead Foundation is inviting amateur photographers to submit images of trails throughout Portage, Medina, Stark, Summit, and Wayne counties.
Capture your favorite pathway through forests, fields, parks or natural landscapes. The winning photographs will be displayed in the new downtown Akron office of Trailhead Community Health Foundation, 141 N. Forge St. Submit your best photos to [email protected] by Aug. 14.
Free concerts in the park
CANAL FULTON – The Groove Brothers Band will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. July 31 at St. Helena Heritage Park, 123 Tuscarawas St. NW, as part of the Echoes of Summer: Canal Fulton Summer Concert Series. The Diamond Project – Neil Diamond Tribute Band will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. Aug. 7 at the park. Admission to both concerts is free.
Program combines astronomy, black history
CANTON – The McKinley Museum & Library, 800 McKinley Monument Drive NW, will present the Soup at Six program “Follow the Drinking Gourd” at 6 p.m. Aug. 13.
