AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety, working with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, arrested four men in Northwest Austin earlier this month in connection with a home invasion in San Antonio, though one suspect has since been released on bond.
The Texas Rangers began assisting the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office last month in locating Rodney Robinson III, 21, believed to be connected to a June 15 home invasion in northeast San Antonio. Investigators used automated license plate reader data linked to a vehicle associated with Robinson to identify an apartment complex near RM 2222 and McNeil Drive in Northwest Austin.
On July 8 at about 12:45 p.m., Texas Rangers and DPS Criminal Investigations Division agents watched Robinson and a passenger leave the complex in the suspect vehicle.
