We see rain in an off-and-on fashion through the morning and up to about lunchtime. It will generally be light, but brief downpours are possible. The afternoon trends drier, but clouds and rain-cooled air help trim highs back to the upper 80s (about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday).
Don’t be fooled; it is still late-July, and humidity is sky-high. If the sun pops out, you will still feel a summer sizzle. Still, the peak heat index will be below 100 for the first time in 4 days.
Wednesday: Keeping It In Check
Partly cloudy skies and a low 20% chance for rain. Temperatures continue to drop, with highs around 88 degrees that will feel like the mid-upper 90s.
Thursday: Rain Returns
High temperatures remain in the upper 80s around 88 degrees, with heat index values in the mid-90s. Partly to mostly cloudy skies and a 30% chance for rain during the day, but the real action comes Thursday night into Friday.

Friday: Morning Showers, Afternoon Relief
A 40% chance for rain and a few thunderstorms will persist mainly in the morning to early afternoon. Highs top out in the upper 80s with a heat index in the mid-90s.
