Boise, Idaho (CBS2) — Boise firefighters spent several hours removing a large tree that fell into the Boise River near Julia Davis Park on Monday, after it blocked a large portion of the river and created what officials described as a hazard for floaters.
The tree had a base about 4 feet wide. Officials warned that trees and large branches in moving water can be extremely dangerous if people are pushed against them by the current.
