Most power restored after over 20,000 customers lost power in parts of the Lowcountry

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — More than 20,000 customers’ power is back on following a brief power outage in Berkeley and Charleston counties.

Over 16,000 Dominion Energy customers and 6,000 Berkeley Electric Cooperative customers were without power for an hour Tuesday afternoon.

The Mount Pleasant Police Department confirmed a power outage has affected traffic lights north of the Isle of Palms Connector. Officers are responding to assist with traffic at major intersections…
