Walmart shoppers’ bank accounts ‘compromised’ after silent device installed at checkout

WALMART shoppers had their bank accounts allegedly compromised after crooks secretly targeted customers at the checkout.

A total of 149 credit and debit cards were reportedly affected before investigators uncovered the alleged scam, leading to multiple felony charges.

Police in Lubbock, Texas, say two men are accused of planting a credit card skimmer on a checkout terminal inside a Walmart Neighborhood Market, allowing sensitive banking information to allegedly be stolen from unsuspecting shoppers.
