MADISON, Wis. — The River Food Pantry is preparing to receive one of 250 food donations being distributed nationwide as part of America’s 250th anniversary celebration Wednesday morning.
A semi truckload containing approximately 40,000 pounds of shelf-stable food is scheduled to arrive at 8 a.m. The delivery represents part of a collaborative effort between The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and America250, the organization commemorating the nation’s 250th anniversary.
