SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) — Two people have been arrested and charged with child neglect after a juvenile was shot in a gas station parking lot on Saturday afternoon, according to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office.
Joshua Jeremiah Jenkins, 27, of Summerville, and Kimberly Karris Chanell Williams, 26, of Goose Creek, are each charged with four counts of unlawful neglect of a child.
Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at Parker’s Kitchen located at 8108 Windsor Hill Boulevard around 2 p.m. on Saturday. By the time law enforcement arrived at the scene, a black SUV carrying the injured child had already left.
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage and interviewed witnesses and employees at the gas station to track down leads. Surrounding hospitals were also put on alert to notify deputies if anyone arrived seeking treatment for a gunshot wound…
