BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. — As scammers continue to develop increasingly sophisticated tactics, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is taking its fraud prevention message directly to the community.
The Sheriff’s Office has announced a free Senior Fraud Prevention Tour that will make stops at five locations across Berkeley County and the Charleston area over the next two months. The educational presentations are designed to help seniors, caregivers, family members and anyone interested in protecting loved ones recognize, avoid and report common scams and financial exploitation.
