RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — 8News got a visit from special guest Lucy the opossum on Wednesday to talk about her role as an educational animal at the Wildlife Center of Virginia.
8News anchors Delaney Hall and Madison Moore were joined by director of outreach Connor Gillespie with Lucy to talk about what to do if you see them.
“If you see them around your home, they’re actually wonderful neighbors to have,” Gillespie said. “Don’t try to shoo them away. They’re there to keep your pests away, and they’re usually pretty nomadic so they’re not going to stick around too long anyway.”…
