ERATH, La. (KLFY) — A day on the water turned into an unexpected prize for one Delcambre angler after he caught a specially tagged redfish during the CCA Louisiana STAR Tournament.
Wayne Toups, who has participated in the tournament for nearly 35 years, said he was fishing near Redfish Point when he reeled in what first appeared to be an ordinary catch. After taking a closer look, he realized the fish had a blue tag attached.
“I caught a tagged redfish at Redfish Point, which was a color blue, which is for Ultra Beer for a Year,” Toups said…
