SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A local sand artist created a sand replica of the Salt Lake City Temple at the Days of 47 Rodeo.
Sand Artist, Rusty Croft turned 10 tons of sand into a detailed replica of the Salt Lake City Temple ahead of the 2027 Temple Celebration.
Watch a time-lapse of Croft’s work:
The sand for the project was carted from Point of the Mountain and was compressed so that it was sturdy enough to carve into. The project was showcased in real-time at the Days of 47 Rodeo in Salt Lake City.
