North Toledo neighbors say growing trash pile has gone unaddressed for three months

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Residents near the corner of Manhattan Boulevard and Elm Street in North Toledo say a pile of trash including overflowing bins, a mattress and a broken toilet has been growing at the end of their street for three months, and their attempts to get it removed have not produced results.

Neighbor Kathy McCollum said the situation has become a persistent problem for people living on the block.

“We don’t want to look at that, everyday three months,” McCollum said. “Rats, everything coming out over there… then other people is dumping stuff over there.”…
