LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — United Way of Acadiana marked the 15th anniversary of its Early Head Start program with a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of renovations at the Head Start center on Jefferson Street in Lafayette’s Freetown neighborhood.
Officials with United Way said the program is centered on supporting children and families across the region.
“All of our parishes we serve, but especially in Lafayette, because we do have so many families that drive in every day,” Heather Blanchard with United Way of Acadiana said. “It’s all about how do we create a thriving community. And whenever families have support and nurturing and, and systems and resources from the beginning, it sets them up for great success in the future. And so, that’s all about what United Way does.”…
