Overdose deaths continue to decrease in Washtenaw County, health officials report

WASHTENAW COUNTY, Mich. – Overdose deaths are down in Washtenaw County, but the crisis is far from over.

The health department said 58 residents died from an overdose in 2025 — that’s down from 68 in 2024. Thirty-three of them were opioid-related. This is a 10-year low for the county.
