Publix pharmacies join Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program

LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix announced this week that its pharmacies are participating in the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program, a new federal initiative aimed at expanding access to weight-management medications for eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries.

Launched by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on July 1, 2026, the program provides qualifying beneficiaries with access to select GLP-1 medications through December 31, 2027. Eligible patients can fill qualifying prescriptions at Publix Pharmacy locations.
