Man detained during arraignment for brutally beating man during carjacking

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A judge found a man an “unmanageable risk” and ordered him detained during an arraignment and detention hearing.

Last week, a federal grand jury returned an indictment charging Gwen Manot Scholl Agake, also known as John Agake. He allegedly tried to steal a man’s vehicle a few weeks ago and attacked the man’s head, face, and shoulder with a long metal bar.
