IWILEI, Hawaii (Island News) — The 65-year-old woman who was killed by a reversing car in a parking lot in Iwilei on Thursday afternoon was identified by the medical examiner.
The Honoluul Medical Examiner identified the pedestrian as Linda Dyer, a 65-year-old Pearl City woman. The incident happened at around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, on Alakawa Street in the Iwilei area. The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) said a 57-year-old woman was backing out of a marked stall in a private parking lot of a shopping plaza, when the car struck Dyer.
At the scene, Honolulu Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the collision and treated Dyer with advanced life support. She was then taken to an emergency room in critical condition…
