POLICE AUDIO CAN BE FOUND AT THE END OF THIS ARTICLE: Law enforcement received a call around 2:50pm on July 27th after reports of a disturbance at Mayor’s Park on Sweeney Street in North Tonawanda.
The 911 caller told police that there was a possible intoxicated driver that was firing off rounds from a handgun into the water. It was unknown if he was shooting at something specific. The suspect was described as white with brown facial hair. He was also holding a can of alcohol.
Police responded to the scene. It is unknown if the suspect was at the scene when police arrived and, if so, whether he was arrested. No further information is available at this time…
