More than 140 calls for medical help during Friday Banana Ball at Albertsons Stadium

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — There were more than 140 calls for help help during seven hours at Albertsons Stadium during Friday night’s Banana Ball event, with about seven transported to local hospitals.

Officials said a coordinated response by Boise Police, Boise Fire, Ada County Paramedics, the Boise State Department of Public Safety and guest services staff provided resources and on-site treatment for those who needed assistance throughout the day.

With another Banana Ball game scheduled for Saturday, organizers urged attendees to take precautions ahead of expected heat conditions, including bringing cooling towels and portable fans and staying hydrated…
