Richmond, Va (WRIC) — Our daily rain chances begin today. Scattered rain and thunderstorms are in the forecast, mainly in the afternoon after 1pm. However, a shower or two before then is possible. Keep an ear out if you have outdoor plans. Lightning, brief damaging wind gusts, and heavy downpours are possible. Highs will be in the upper 80s.
The rainy stretch of days continues into Monday and Tuesday and are both looking quite isolated. These will be some of our cooler days this week as highs will be in the mid 80s.
Wednesday showers and storms will be much more scattered in nature. Thursday I think will be one of the lighter days this week as far as our rain chances are concerned. Both days will be slightly warmer as temperatures return back into the upper 80s
Friday, to end the week, will be pleasant and warm with highs near 90 and feature partly sunny skies before overnight showers and storms develop and linger into Saturday morning.
The end of next week into the weekend holds a bit of uncertainty regarding rain chances. As it stands right now, light rain showers are possible Saturday and scattered storms will return on Sunday for the second weekend in August…
