A popular private swim club north of Houston could soon swap its decades-old pool for a splash pad, water slides and more in a multimillion-dollar renovation.
Forest Oaks Swim and Racquet Club—a members-only club in Spring—is planning a $9.7 million upgrade, according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Located at 19023 Joanleigh Dr., crews could break ground this November, lasting through late December 2027.
While details submitted to the TDLR are subject to change, the project calls for demolishing the existing swimming pool, canopies and support buildings to make way for a new outdoor leisure pool, recreation center, equipment building, water slide and water playground totaling 10,586 square feet.
The Harris County Water Control and Improvement District (WCID) 110, the owners of the facility, did not immediately respond to Chron’s request for comment by the time of publication…
