Wilmington Police are investigating four separate shooting incidents that occurred between Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, leaving four people injured.
The first incident occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, in the 1000 block of North Lombard Street. Police said a 16-year-old male who had been shot arrived at a local hospital in stable condition. Later that evening, at approximately 10:46 p.m., officers responded to the 900 block of Vandever Avenue, where they located a 28-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
On Sunday, August 2, officers responded at approximately 6:59 p.m. to the area of Linden and South Van Buren streets after reports of a shooting. A 52-year-old male who had been shot arrived at the hospital in stable condition. Later that night, at approximately 9:52 p.m., police responded to the 300 block of West 7th Street, where they located a 32-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound.
