HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Some people change lives without ever seeking the spotlight. For Carrie Young, that journey began more than a decade ago with one of the most difficult experiences a parent can face.
When her son Braelyn was born at just 24 weeks, he weighed only one pound, three ounces, smaller than a Coke bottle. Instead of taking her newborn home, Young spent 117 days waiting for the moment she could finally leave the hospital with her baby.
