Tampa Opens $4.4M Renovated Shelter For Veterans Experiencing Homelessness

TAMPA, Fla. — A new 60-bed emergency shelter dedicated to veterans experiencing homelessness will officially open in Tampa on Tuesday.

Hillsborough County partnered with the nonprofit St. Vincent de Paul CARES to establish the Hillsborough CARE Center, located at 1409 E. Seneca Ave. A public ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled at the facility for 10 a.m. on Aug. 4.
