SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held a groundbreaking ceremony for tis Santos Brazil Temple.
On August 1, Church officials and local leaders broke ground on the Santos Brazil Temple, initially announced in November 2022, with several speaking about the significance of building a temple in the area.
“Here in Santos, the Church has welcomed and warmly embraced everyone who is part of this community, and from this point forward, we are taking an even more important step,” said acting Santos Mayor Audrey Kleys.
She continued, “The construction of the temple will contribute even more to the development of our region. Therefore, we express our gratitude to all of you.”
