Support Hawaii Foodbank’s Food Drive Day on August 29

HONOLULU (Island News) – The community is invited to help support, and attend, Food Drive Day on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

As food insecurity continues to impact approximately 463,000 people across the state, and thousands more on the verge, Food Drive Day is a way for the organization to raise funds and educate the public on its programs and services that are available for anyone who needs assistance.

The Hawaii Foodbank will have representatives engaging with the public at the following sites across Oahu from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.:

  • Ala Moana Center Stage & Ewa Wing Stage
  • Pearlridge Mauka Center Court
  • Ka Makana Ali’i Center Court

“Community support is essential to helping Hawaii Foodbank meet the growing need for food assistance across our islands. This year’s Food Drive Day is also an opportunity to reinforce an important message: Hawaii Foodbank is for everyone. We want people to know that if they need help putting food on the table, we are here for them, without judgement and regardless of their circumstances,” said Hawaii Foodbank President and CEO Amy Miller.
