KAILUA, Hawaii (Island News) – School staff are encouraging individuals with any information to assist in the investigation of an incident involving the vandalism of student-created artwork at an elementary school in Kailua, Oahu.
At ‘Aikahi Elementary School, a structure featuring individual tiles created by students was discovered smashed on the ground.
“Our students and staff were disappointed to begin the new school year and discover that the student-created artwork on our play structure had been badly vandalized. We encourage anyone with information, security footage or other details that may assist the investigation to contact the Honolulu Police Department.
