Shooting investigation underway in Kentucky, victim airlifted to Nashville hospital

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WSMV) – The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating a neighborhood shooting that sent one person to the hospital on Monday night.

According to Hopkinsville PD, officers and medical personnel responded to a report of a shooting in the 3600 block of Velma Drive around 10:40 p.m.

They arrived to find one person shot, and the injury required air transport to a Nashville hospital. Emergency personnel at the scene told Dash 10 Media that the victim was a teenage girl and she was airlifted to TriStar Skyline Medical Center…
